Job summary

Carpenters Group is seeking a dedicated claims professional to manage a caseload of non-litigated EL/PL claims from portal and pre-action stages. You will assess liability, review medical evidence, and draft schedules of damages while maintaining client and insurer communications.

Based in Cardiff, the role emphasises timely progression, adherence to protocols, and effective use of case management systems and MS Office tools, within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling non-litigated EL/PL claims, ideally within a personal injury environment.
• Strong understanding of EL/PL portal and pre-litigation processes.
• Excellent client care and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload of non-litigated EL/PL claims, primarily within portal and pre-action stages.
• Assess liability and quantum, review medical evidence, and draft schedules of special damages.
• Provide clear, empathetic legal advice to clients and insurers, maintaining regular communication.
• Liaise with external agencies including medical experts, investigators, and rehabilitation providers.
• Ensure timely progression of cases in line with Pre-Action Protocol and internal SLAs.
• Maintain accurate records using case management systems and MS Office tools.
• Contribute to team performance by meeting financial and productivity targets.
• Promote a positive, inclusive working culture and uphold firm values.
