Job summary

AdviserPlus, on behalf of Mentor, is seeking an Employment Law & HR Officer to deliver advice to clients in a collaborative environment. Build on your employment law or HR experience with training and qualifications while supporting progression.

You’ll advise by phone, emails, and webchat, identify opportunities for bespoke services, and ensure accurate documentation. This role suits someone with ACAS knowledge and strong communication, aiming for professional growth.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity to build on your existing experience of employment law or HR in a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll be delivering employment law and HR support and advice to our clients. What you'll do :

We’ll be looking to you to provide employment law and HR advice and guidance. You’ll also identify opportunities to meet the needs of your client through bespoke services, and you’ll generate referrals for additional consultancy and training services, generating income through cross sales.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering legally compliant and commercial HR and employment law advice primarily by telephone, with some email and webchat.
• Providing prompt assistance and completing your work in a timely manner.
• Keeping accurate records of the advice you've given

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with experience in a HR or employment lawrole providing advice to line managers or supporting on employee relations processes such as disciplinaries and grievances.

If you already have a qualification in employment law or HR, this would be an advantage, although this is not essential, as we’ll support you to obtain this while in your role.

You’ll also need:

• Up-to-date knowledge of the ACAS code of practice on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• The ability to communicate effectively and build rapport over the telephone with clients from multiple sectors and at different levels of the business.
• High standards of attention to detail.
