Job summary

Empowering People Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an Employment Law & HR Officer to provide employment law and HR advice to clients in a supportive environment.

You will deliver guidance primarily by telephone, with some email and webchat, identify opportunities to meet client needs through bespoke services, and generate referrals for additional consultancy and training services, helping to grow income through cross-sales.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR or employment law advising line managers.
• ACAS knowledge or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.

Join us as an Employment Law & HR Officer

This is an opportunity to build on your existing experience of employment law or HR in a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll be delivering employment law and HR support and advice to our clients. This could be a major stepping stone for your future career, as we’ll support your progression with training and qualifications.

What you'll do :

We’ll be looking to you to provide employment law and HR advice and guidance. You’ll also identify opportunities to meet the needs of your client through bespoke services, and you’ll generate referrals for additional consultancy and training services, generating income through cross sales.

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with experience in a HR or employment law role providing advice to line managers or supporting on employee relations processes such as disciplinaries and grievances.

If you already have a qualification in employment law or HR, this would be an advantage, although this is not essential, as we’ll support you to obtain this while in your role.

You’ll also need:

• Up-to-date knowledge of the ACAS code of practice on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• The ability to communicate effectively and build rapport over the telephone with clients from multiple sectors and at different levels of the business.
• High standards of attention to detail.
