Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer for a leading facilities management contractor in the UK. You will carry out EICR inspections on commercial and industrial installations and perform fixed wire testing in line with BS 7671.

Applicants should hold Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations, 18th Edition BS 7671, and City & Guilds 2391-52, with proven EICR experience and a full UK driving licence. The role offers long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391-52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent.
• Proven experience delivering EICRs and fixed wire testing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, safety standards, and testing procedures.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICR inspections on commercial and industrial electrical installations.
• Perform Fixed Wire (Periodic) Testing in accordance with BS 7671.
• Identify faults, defects, deviations, and non-compliances within electrical systems.
• Code observations using C1, C2, C3, and FI classifications with auditable records.
• Work in compliance with BS 7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations.
