Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions seeks an Electrical Test & Inspector in the Glasgow area to perform EICRs in commercial and industrial settings. You will inspect, test, and document electrical installations, identify hazards, and advise on remedial actions in compliance with BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.

The role requires at least 3 years' EICR experience, City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent), NVQ Level 3, and 18th Edition knowledge.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience carrying out EICRs.
City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition knowledge.
In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards.
Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments.
Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment.
Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards.
Provide clear reports detailing condition and recommendations for remedial actions.
Ensure inspections comply with BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Communicate findings clearly with clients and provide technical advice.
Participate in ongoing training to maintain skills.
