Job summary

Office Owls Recruitment Limited in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Test & Inspector to perform EICRs in commercial/industrial settings. You will inspect and test electrical systems, identify hazards, and prepare concise reports with remedial actions.

A strong grasp of BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations is essential. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years’ EICR experience, City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent), NVQ Level 3, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience carrying out EICRs in commercial/industrial environments.
• Qualified in City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent; knowledge of BS 7671/IET Wiring Regulations.
• Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EICRs in commercial and industrial settings.
• Inspect and test electrical systems: wiring, circuits, switchgear, control equipment.
• Identify defects, non-compliances, and safety hazards.
• Provide clear reports with condition findings and remedial recommendations.
• Ensure inspections follow BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Communicate findings to clients and offer technical advice.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain skills.
