Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Project Manager (HV/EHV) to join our UK Transmission and Distribution team. The role covers pre-construction and construction activities for large-scale HV infrastructure, from design to energisation, including substations and grid connections up to 400 kV.

You will manage scope, cost, safety and quality, interface with clients and partners, and contribute to CDM Designer duties. We offer hybrid working across the UK and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• HV and EHV project management experience from feasibility to energisation.
• Experience delivering large HV/EHV substations projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical transmission and distribution plant items and operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop HV and EHV project requirements into compliant engineering solutions.
• Manage development and delivery of HV and EHV projects to time, cost, safety and quality.
• Interface with customers and internal/external resources to deliver HV/EHV projects.
• Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for HV/EHV projects.
• Communicate effectively with internal engineering and industrial resources.
• Coordinate external service providers and administer commercial aspects.
