Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Project Manager (HV/EHV) to lead pre-construction and construction activities for large-scale HV infrastructure projects across the UK. You will manage design to energisation for substations and grid connections, coordinating with customers and internal teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires an HNC in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years of HV project experience, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

HNC in Electrical Engineering required.
2+ years of HV substation project experience.
Understanding of electrical distribution plant items operations and control systems.
Knowledge of CDM regulations and ability to act as Designer/Principal Designer.
Willingness to travel as project needs.

Responsibilities

Develop HV projects (up to 20kV) into compliant engineering solutions.
Manage development/delivery of small/medium HV projects to time, cost, safety and quality.
Interface with customers and internal/external resources to deliver HV projects.
Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for HV projects.
Communicate effectively with engineering and supporting teams.
Coordinate external service providers and manage commercial aspects.
