Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Manager (HV/EHV) to lead pre-construction and construction activities for large-scale HV infrastructure in the UK Transmission and Distribution team. The role covers feasibility, design, procurement, construction, testing and energisation from 33kV to 400kV.

You will manage delivery across cable, overhead, plant and civil works, interfacing with customers and resources, and fulfilling CDM Designer/Principal Designer duties as required, while ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

Experience managing large HV/EHV substation projects across full lifecycle.
Strong understanding of AIS/GIS switchgear, protection & control, transformers and cables.
Ability to interpret technical documentation for substations.
CDM Designer/Principal Designer experience or capability.
Excellent H&S and CDM compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

Develop HV and EHV project requirements into compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions.
Manage development and delivery of HV/EHV projects to time, cost, safety and quality.
Interface with customers and internal/external resources to deliver HV/EHV projects.
Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for HV/EHV projects.
Communicate effectively with internal engineering teams and external resources.
Coordinate external service providers and manage commercial aspects.
