Job summary

ADM is seeking a Site Safety & EHS professional to disseminate the safety, health and environmental strategy across the Edinburgh location. You will ensure regulatory and ADM standards are met while driving continuous EHS improvements and incident prevention.

You will collaborate with EHS CoE and site management on training programs, risk assessments and SOP development, and spend substantial time in the field conducting site visits and compliance checks to uphold a zero-incident safety culture.

Qualifications

• A recognised Health & Safety qualification is preferred.
• Educated to degree level (Health and Safety, Engineering) or able to operate at that standard.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a Production/Manufacturing environment.
• Experience or understanding of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering processes & procedures.
• Knowledge of combustible dust hazards and Hazard Area Classification.
• Experience with Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Permit to Work Systems.
• EHS compliance and auditing experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deployment of ADM’s safety, health and environmental strategy across the location.
• Work with location management on Employee Training, Competence and Skills development.
• Maintain, improve and deliver training programs for employees and contractors to drive a safety-focused culture.
• Ensure programs comply with regulatory and ADM standards.
• Assist Operations with risk assessments, SOPs and ESLPs.
• Support site adherence to UK environmental legislation and ADM environmental standards.
• Conduct field walkabouts and compliance audits to ensure standards are met.
• Provide guidance on root-cause investigations and reporting of injuries or incidents.
