EHS Manager – Site Safety, Compliance & Training

Job summary

ADM is seeking a Site EHS professional to drive safety, health and environmental standards across the Edinburgh location. You will work with the EHS CoE to deploy ADM’s strategy and maintain compliance with UK regulations.

You will lead training programs, conduct field inspections, manage risk assessments and SOPs, and support incident investigations. Regular liaison with UK Area H&S Manager and external bodies will be required.

Qualifications

• A recognised Health & Safety Qualification is preferred.
• Educated to degree level (Health and Safety, Engineering) or the proven ability to operate at that standard.
• Demonstrable experience in a Production/Manufacturing Environment.
• Experience or an understanding of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering processes & procedures.
• Knowledge of combustible dust hazards and Hazard Area Classification.
• Experience with Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Permit to Work Systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deployment of ADM’s safety, health and environmental strategy across the location with the aim of zero injuries or incidents.
• Work closely with location management on Employee Training / Competence / Skills to identify needs and progress and develop individuals with a learning pathway across multi disciplines.
• Maintain, improve and deliver training programs for existing and new employees and contractors, that increase their awareness and drive a behavioural based safety culture.
