Job description

Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

Location:Lostock, Northwich

Employment Type:PAYE or Umbrella (CIS)

Working Hours:10 hours per day, 50 hours per week (07:00 - 17:00)

Weekend Rate:1.33x


Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team at an Energy from Waste site. As part of an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, health, and environmental compliance of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies and procedures.

  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

  • Provide training and support to staff on EHS practices.

  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions.

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all documentation is up to date.

  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the site.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an EHS Manager, preferably in an EPC environment.

  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and training skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Relevant qualifications in environmental health and safety. (NEBOSH)

  • Relevant qualifications in management (SSSTS or SMSTS)
