Anord Mardix, a Flex company, is a global group that manufactures switchgear and related products for installation in mission-critical and commercial buildings, including data centres and headquarters of major companies worldwide. To support our teams in building great products and contributing to our growth, we are looking to add a EHS Manager based in Blackburn or Kendal, England. Reporting to the General Manager, the EHS Manager will oversee the implementation of Environmental Health & Safety programs across offices and manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with company and government standards.
Overall responsibility for EHS across UK Operations
Communicate implications and duties imposed by legislation
Report Environmental, Health & Safety matters to the Senior Management Team
Distribute and communicate health, safety, and welfare information from regulatory bodies and safety organizations
Establish and promote health and safety training programs and safety culture among employees
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures
Develop departmental vision, culture, and work standards
Implement Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental strategies and goals
Maintain Organisational Management Systems (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001)
Create and improve EHS strategies, processes, and procedures
Review and approve EHS activities for effective resolution of issues
Relevant degree and experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or construction
Thorough knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
Experience working with and communicating with subcontractors
Membership of IOSH or NEBOSH
Ability to advise on EHS issues and lead daily EHS activities
Full driving license required for site travel
Excellent communication, organizational, and initiative skills
Thorough working methods and ability to follow through on corrective actions
