We are recruiting a remote Health and Safety Advisor to join our passionate QHSE Department.

This remote role offers exposure to various FM sectors, sites, and industries, including education, healthcare, venues, and retail. It provides ongoing professional development with CPD, working with the UK&I QHSE team.

We seek someone passionate about occupational health and safety, capable of ensuring legislative compliance and driving positive change by advising, guiding, supporting, and coaching operational colleagues.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to operational managers on health and safety issues, ensuring standards are met.
  • Traveling to sites to provide health and safety guidance.
  • Monitoring and managing accidents and incidents.
  • Attending internal and customer meetings on behalf of the QHSE department.
  • Providing advice on environmental and quality issues under guidance.
  • Conducting internal audits as per the audit plan.
  • Supporting other QHSE team departments.
  • Communicating proactively on QHSE matters, preparing reports, bulletins, and briefs.
  • Assisting with accident and incident investigations.
  • Responding to emerging challenges and supporting QHSE strategic objectives.
  • Managing QHSE matters effectively and taking corrective actions when needed.
  • Liaising with enforcement authorities when required.
  • Building relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the QHSE team to ensure consistent support across the business.

About You:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Secondary education with high numeracy and literacy levels.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • At least 12 months of practical health and safety experience in the UK.
  • TECH IOSH status.
  • Knowledge of health and safety compliance and legislation.
  • Practical safety management experience.
  • Experience investigating significant events.
  • Understanding of civil claims and enforcement.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels.
  • Customer relationship management skills.
  • Ethical and sustainable behavior.
  • Full UK driver’s license.
