Job description

Prestwick Care are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Care Home Administrator at Bede House. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking a rewarding career within the care industry to join Prestwick Care during a period of growth in the North East.

Main Job Purpose & Scope
  1. Ensure accuracy and continuity of payroll using the home's in-house system.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using the home's in-house system.
  3. Keep staff and resident files accurate and current.
  4. Assist the home manager with the recruitment and induction of new staff.
  5. Answer telephone calls and emails efficiently and politely.
  6. Provide administrative support to the home manager as required.
  7. Perform general office administration duties.
Skills Required
  1. Experience or knowledge of payroll, bookkeeping, and administration.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Ability to work effectively with high standards and demonstrate initiative.
  4. Effective communication skills at all levels, using excellent interpersonal techniques.
  5. Strong team working skills.
  6. Analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  7. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with good numerical and word processing skills.
  9. Genuine interest in working within a care environment.
  10. Strong appreciation for confidentiality.
  11. Friendly, confident, well-presented, and customer-focused demeanor.
