Graduate Hotels is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to join its team of hospitality enthusiasts.

The 148-bedroom Graduate by Hilton Cambridge hotel, part of the Graduate Hotels collection inspired by the University of Cambridge, is situated on the River Cam in the historic city center. The hotel reflects the university's architecture and ambiance.

THE ROLE

As an Assistant Night Manager, you will be responsible for guest safety and security overnight, managing the Front Office team during this shift. Your role includes providing a warm welcome and courteous departure, overseeing nightly reports, and preparing for the next day's arrivals.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the hotel's night operations to ensure safety during guest sleep hours.
• Onboard new team members and foster a culture of continuous professional development.
• Improve operational procedures to enhance guest experience.
• Handle guest complaints decisively to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Provide drinks and room service to residents after hours.
• Check in late arrivals warmly and in line with brand standards.
• Complete Night Audit duties.
• Maximize room occupancy and promote upgrades and hotel services through up-selling.
• Monitor team performance, focusing on training and feedback.
• Represent the Night Manager and senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility for the hotel.
• Follow security and emergency procedures and initiate them when necessary.
• Provide thorough handovers to the early shift/Duty Manager.
• Participate in training courses and support the night team's development.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, policies, and local area.
• Conduct health and safety checks and night walks.
• Maintain awareness of all hotel areas' status.

• Previous supervisory/management experience in hotel Front Office.
• Experience with OnQ PMS (desirable).
• Night audit experience.
• Proficient IT skills.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work from 11 pm to 7 am.
