GENERAL SUMMARY / OVERVIEW:
The Gene and Cell Therapy Institute (GCTI) is a newly established system-wide Institute under Mass General Brigham, dedicated to fostering a world-class gene and cell therapy program. The Institute aims to leverage ongoing, groundbreaking scientific research across the MGB system to bring together investigators utilizing gene and cell therapy platforms, with the goal of improving patient health. GCTI will distinguish itself by harnessing the strengths of clinician scientists, the large patient population, and major discoveries within the hospital system to position MGB as a leader in Gene & Cell therapies.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Technician to join our RNA Therapeutics Core (RTC) team. The successful candidate will participate in developing novel RNA-based medicines and technologies. Under guidance from senior scientific staff, the technician will produce and analyze high-quality lipid nanoparticle formulations of RNA for experimental and external applications, and administer formulated RNA to mice via various injection routes.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a research laboratory environment, proficiency in standard mouse handling techniques (tail vein injections, subcutaneous injections, sample collection), and lipid nanoparticle formulation. Preferably, they will have hands-on experience in LNP process development, be detail-oriented and organized, and eager to work collaboratively.
This position is onsite at 65 Landsdowne Street, Cambridge, MA.
