Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect (EDW Migrations) to drive migration strategy and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform across EMEA. You will partner with leadership, product, and account teams to shape migration approaches, create technical guidance, and enable field teams for success.

You will mentor a regional SA community, develop scalable assets, and act as a tier-3 escalation point for the most complex migrations, ensuring customer success in mission-critical

Qualifications

• 8+ years of customer-facing experience influencing technical executives and driving strategy.
• Legacy Data Warehouse & Modernization Architecture understanding across Teradata, Netezza, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift or Exadata.
• Mastery of migration scope and progression from EDW to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Python and SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Public Cloud Architecting in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strategic enablement and community mentorship.
• Experience collaborating with Professional Services and Global System Integrators to standardize migration delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional migration strategy with GTM leadership and account teams for large-scale EDW migrations.
• Develop programmatic and scalable migration assets and guides for field teams and partners.
• Build and integrate automated assessment tooling from customer engagements.
• Act as tier-3 escalation point for complex migrations in must-win accounts across EMEA.
• Mentor and scale the EMEA SA/SSA community to ensure delivery at scale.
• Bridge field insights with product management and engineering as a feedback loop.
• Author whitepapers and deliver high-impact presentations at forums like Data + AI Summit.
• Collaborate with Professional Services and GSIs to standardize migration delivery methodologies.
