Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised support to students with moderate to severe learning difficulties, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop key skills.
• Assist in delivering tailored activities and therapies in collaboration with teachers and therapists, utilising specialised facilities such as hydrotherapy pools and multi-sensory rooms.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, confidence, and independence among students.
• Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to monitoring students’ progress and development.
• Participate in enrichment activities and collaborative planning sessions to enhance students’ learning experiences and personal growth opportunities.

Requirements:

• Experience or understanding of working with children who have moderate to severe learning difficulties.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support personalised learning and therapy plans.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues in a respectful and inclusive manner.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to support students’ confidence, independence, and personal development.
• Willingness to adapt and learn, including using specialised facilities such as hydrotherapy pools and multi-sensory rooms as part of student support.
