Job Description:

Permanent Full Time, 37.00 hours per week, starting on 01/09/2025.

The role involves working within the context of the Education, Leisure, and Lifelong Learning Support plan for schools, aligning with the council’s strategic objectives and other key local and national planning documents. The goal is to promote school improvement across key stages, build capacity within schools to maximize the learning potential of all pupils, and support and challenge schools to improve quality provision and standards of wellbeing.

The Education Support Officer will be responsible for supporting activities aligned with the priorities of the school support service, including the national reform agenda, evolving teaching practices, leadership, professional learning, and representing the Local Authority at National Curriculum events and meetings.

The successful candidate must have experience of successful Headship. This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
