Education Support Officer

Permanent Full Time, 37.00 hours per week

Start date: 01/09/2025

The role involves working within the context of the Education, Leisure and Lifelong Learning Support plan for schools, aligning with the council’s strategic objectives and other key local and national strategic planning documents. The aim is to promote school improvement across key stages, build capacity within schools to maximize the learning potential of all pupils, and support and challenge schools to enhance quality provision and standards of wellbeing.

The Education Support Officer will serve a designated group of schools and will play a key role in supporting activities aligned with the priorities of the school support service, including the national reform agenda, evolving teaching practices, leadership, professional learning, and acting as a link between the school development team and the wider LA Inclusion service.

Requirements include experience of successful Headship. This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
