Teacher Support Officer
This is a secondment opportunity commencing 01/09/2025 - 31/08/2026.
To work within the context of the Education, Leisure and Lifelong Learning Support plan for schools, the council’s strategic objectives, and other key local and national strategic planning documents, to promote school improvement across key stages. The role involves supporting teaching and self-evaluation in schools in a formal Estyn category at secondary level. Responsibilities include curriculum design, pedagogy that supports progress in the Curriculum for Wales, and supporting activities aligned with the priorities of the school support service, such as high-quality self-evaluation, diverse teaching strategies (with support from the NPT teaching and learning team), professional development, and representing the Local Authority at national events and meetings.
The post will start on September 1st, 2025.
