Job summary

Yeovil Area Community Academy Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our KS2 team. The role supports pupils in lessons and during lunch play, helping plan and implement Learning Plans in collaboration with teachers.

The successful candidate will have SEN experience, strong communication, IT skills, and a collaborative approach. This fixed-term contract runs until 31 August 2027, term-time only (31.7 hours/week), starting 3 November 2026 or ASAP.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide for pupils with SEN.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience planning and implementing Learning Plans, including reviews.
• Ability to adjust activities according to pupil responses as directed by the teacher.
• Committed to helping all children achieve their best.
• Good IT skills.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Good sense of humour and enjoy teamwork.

Responsibilities

Contract Type and Working Pattern

Fixed term contract until 31 st August 2027 due to funding

Term time only(Paid 43.5069 weeks per year LSA)

Monday - Friday from 8.30am - 3.20pm, 31.7 hours

Start date: Tuesday 3rd November 2026 (or as soon as possible after)
