Job summary

Autodesk Education Experiences (AEX) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build education-focused product experiences across Autodesk platforms. You will own features from concept to launch, collaborating with product managers, designers, researchers, ML engineers and platform teams.

You will work on backend services, integrations, automation, experimentation, and lightweight frontend work, using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to reliable, scalable software for education

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Full-Stack development experience and front-end familiarity (JavaScript, React/Next.js).
• Able to utilise AI coding tools for increased velocity.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and version control (Git).
• Proven ability to integrate with CI/CD pipelines and write testable code.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, researchers, ML engineers, and platform engineers.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Implement backend services APIs, integrations, and product infrastructure for education features.
• Move quickly from prototype to production while balancing speed and quality.
• Integrate and productize ML/AI solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Build plugins or SDKs for CAD platforms (Fusion, Revit, 3DS Max, Maya).
• Collaborate across product and engineering boundaries including frontend integration and data pipelines.
• Work with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Docker deployments, contributing to reliability.
• Write robust, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
