Job summary

Autodesk Education Experiences (AEX) seeks a Software Development Engineer to build education-focused product experiences across Autodesk platforms. You will own backend services, integrations, and automation while collaborating with ML, frontend, and platform teams.

You’ll move prototypes to production, contribute to CAD platform tooling, and ensure secure, scalable delivery with CI/CD and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Full-Stack development workflows and front-end familiarity (JavaScript, React/Next.js).
• Able to utilise AI coding tools for increased velocity.

Responsibilities

• Implement backend services APIs, integrations, and product infrastructure.
• Move prototype to production with balance of speed, quality, and maintainability.
• Integrate ML/AI solutions with engineering teams.
• Build and maintain automation, plugins or SDKs for CAD platforms.
• Work across product and engineering boundaries including frontend integration and data pipelines.
• Work with CI/CD systems and containerized deployments (Docker).
• Write robust, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, ML engineers, platform engineers to ship features.
• Document designs, APIs, and runbooks; onboard new engineers to the codebase.
• Contribute to team culture and reproducible engineering practices.
• Familiarity with Python and/or C++ and production-quality code for CAD/3D workflows.
