Job summary

Gateshead College is seeking a Quality Reviewer to join the Quality, Standards and Performance team. You will drive independent, evidence-led assurance of the college’s provision, spanning education programmes for young people, adult education, apprenticeships and higher education.

You will plan and conduct quality reviews, gather data and feedback, and translate findings into practical improvements. The role requires collaboration across curriculum, support and partnerships and travel between

Qualifications

• Experience applying quality systems and standards.
• Ability to analyse performance data and qualitative evidence.
• Knowledge of Ofsted expectations and evidence-led self-assessment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel between sites.
• Experience in further education provision or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and undertake quality reviews across areas and provision types.
• Carry out departmental and learner journey reviews, deep dives and visits.
• Gather and triangulate evidence from data, documents, observations and feedback.
• Evaluate teaching, training, assessment, feedback and learner development.
• Produce clear, evidence-led reports identifying strengths and action needed.
• Support self-assessment, quality improvement planning can be embedded.
• Follow up agreed actions to confirm improvements are made.
• Identify and share best practice across the College.
• Contribute to inspection readiness and explain external expectations clearly.
• Collaborate with partners and subcontractors to assure quality of provision.
