Job summary

Gateshead College is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our Quality team and raise standards across the provision, including subcontracted operations. You will lead the quality assurance and improvement efforts, line-manage Quality Reviewers, and ensure readiness for Ofsted and other regulatory activity.

You will need extensive experience in QA within further education, strong Ofsted and Ofqual knowledge, and excellent stakeholder management to drive improvements across learners and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in quality assurance and improvement within further education or similar regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted inspection expectations, awarding organisations and Ofqual.
• Experience leading or managing people and subcontracted or partnership provision.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance and improvement of subcontracted and partnership provision.
• Build relationships with subcontractors using evidence and performance data to drive improvements.
• Monitor quality and compliance and drive demonstrable improvements.
• Collaborate with curriculum, MIS, funding, safeguarding, and finance to map quality across provision.
• Line manage Quality Reviewers and foster a positive, professional team culture.
• Lead quality reviews, self-assessment, and quality improvement planning.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections and other regulatory activity.
• Maintain knowledge of Ofsted, Ofqual, and awarding organisation requirements.
• Provide evidence-led reports to senior leaders.
