Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Education Mentors to provide one-to-one learning support in students' homes and community settings across the UK. This self-employed role offers flexible in-person, hybrid, and community-based opportunities, with sessions arranged with parents, carers, or schools.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience supporting young people with complex needs, and hold Enhanced DBS clearance or be able to obtain it. UK-based applicants only.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with children or young people with complex needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, etc.).
• Enhanced DBS (we can assist with processing) and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people in homes and community settings.
• Provide one-to-one support and deliver creative, interest-based activities.
• Support development of life skills, confidence and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for diverse needs.
• Model and encourage emotional regulation and safe learning environments.
• Provide feedback and track progress to adapt support.
