Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an IT Support Technician for a prominent Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Manchester. You will support staff and students across hardware and software, manage cloud services, and help maintain secure, reliable digital learning environments.

Qualifications

• Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS operating systems knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration.
• Active Directory user management.
• Fundamental networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi).
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to prioritise requests in a fast-paced environment with safeguarding and data security in mind.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for staff and students, resolving desktop, laptop, tablet, and peripheral issues.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware assets including workstations, displays, AV equipment, printers, and network devices.
• Image and deploy devices, install software, and manage user accounts across Active Directory and cloud platforms.
• Assist with basic network administration, device management (MDM), data backups, and cybersecurity practices.
• Prepare ICT suites and equipment for daily classes, exams, assemblies, and events.
