Job summary

Esher Sixth Form College is seeking an IT Technician to join the IT Services team in Esher. You will be the primary contact for staff and students facing technical issues and provide 1st line support across Microsoft environments.

Experience with Office 365, Teams, SharePoint and Intune is essential, with a focus on user empowerment, device setup, backups, and maintaining IT assets. A willingness to learn and work collaboratively is required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English; A-Levels or equivalent qualifications will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of 1st line support to all users of the College IT systems, including staff and students.
• Contribute to the day-to-day support, maintenance, and development of the College IT infrastructure, including networks, desktops and peripherals.
• Liaise with the supplier for repair, servicing, and supply of printer & copier equipment.
• Set up and support scheduled College events for Marketing, Parents, and Students (up to 5 per academic year).
• Assist staff in use of Teams and SharePoint sites.
• Induct new staff and set up laptops for new staff.
• Ensure that daily and weekly server backup tasks are completed successfully.
• Help maintain the security of the College IT systems.
