Job summary

Orbital South Colleges Group is seeking an IT 1st Line Support Technician to join the IT Services team. You will provide first-line support across the college group, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues within a modern Microsoft 365 environment.

You will be the first point of contact for staff and students, assisting with account management, device deployment, and ongoing service improvements. This role offers full-time hours and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a 1st Line IT Support role.
• Strong hands-on experience of Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.
• Understanding of Microsoft Windows desktop technologies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, tickets and face-to-face support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues and perform problem resolution.
• Configure and deploy devices for students and staff.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
• Assist with account management and user access requests.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support onboarding/offboarding activities.
• Monitor IT systems and identify opportunities for service improvement.
