Job summary

Sheffield City Council is seeking an Information Systems Officer to join the Applications Development and Support Service. The role focuses on investigating system, access and data issues, managing user permissions, and supporting changes and testing across education platforms such as MIS and admissions.

You will provide guidance to users, analyse problems and prioritise work by risk. The role requires collaboration with ICT teams, suppliers, and education stakeholders to ensure data governance

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting applications, databases or information systems.

Responsibilities

• Investigating system, access and data issues

• Working with service teams, ICT colleagues and software suppliers to resolve complex issues

• Managing system upgrades, configuration changes and application lifecycle activity
• Delivering data integration, reporting and information sharing solutions
• Managing relationships with software suppliers, including service quality and contract compliance
• Ensuring education applications meet information governance, cyber security and data protection requirements
