Job summary

Beighton is seeking an Information Systems Officer to provide specialist support for applications used to deliver essential council services in education. You will investigate issues, manage user permissions, support testing and training, and guide users to maximise system value.

This role requires strong problem-solving, careful handling of sensitive information, and the ability to collaborate with ICT staff, schools, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting applications, databases or information systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly and succinctly.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain core education systems and related applications.
• Provide technical expertise and user guidance for MIS, admissions, SEND and attendance tools.
• Manage system changes, upgrades and lifecycle activities to ensure security and reliability.
• Work with schools, partners and suppliers to implement new technologies.
• Deliver data integration, reporting and information sharing to inform decisions.
• Ensure compliance with information governance and data protection.
