Job summary

Mackenzie Jones IT is seeking a hands-on IT Network Engineer to manage and troubleshoot network and core IT infrastructure across four school sites in South West London. The role combines 60% networking with 40% end-user computing, Microsoft 365, and server management, requiring proactive problem-solving and strong communication.

You will configure, maintain and secure networks, switches, wireless, VPNs and security policies while supporting 2nd and 3rd line IT tasks to ensure smooth school

Qualifications

• 2nd & 3rd line IT support handling complex networking, infra, hardware & software issues to root-cause resolution.
• Hands-on config, admin and troubleshooting of switches, routers, wireless APs & controllers (Cisco & Netgear).
• Strong knowledge of VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP; wireless config and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd & 3rd line IT support across Microsoft 365, Intune, Endpoint Management and Windows Server.
• Manage network switches, wireless access points, firewall rules and security configurations across 4 school sites.
