Job summary

Reach South Academy Trust is seeking an Infrastructure & Change Engineer to support its Trust-wide IT systems. The role will be based in a school with travel to other sites within the area, focusing on infrastructure centralisation, cyber security, and GDPR compliance.

You will work across multiple schools with responsibility for servers, storage, networks, and virtual environments, ensuring robust disaster recovery and data protection. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ advanced experience in IT architecture and security.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and MIS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Unifi & Meraki Networks.
• Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V), networking (VLANs, WAN), and endpoint protection.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• A proactive, service-focused mindset with the ability to lead and innovate.

Responsibilities

• Supporting infrastructure centralisation and integration across Trust sites.
• Supporting servers, storage, networks, and virtual environments.
• Supporting cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Administering user accounts, permissions, and access control.
• Ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding standards.
