Job summary

Michael Page Property and Construction is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor for an education site in Oxford. You will lead day-to-day maintenance, supervise on-site staff and contractors, deliver reactive and planned maintenance safely, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

The role covers managing budgets and resources, coordinating with CAFM systems, driving continuous improvement, supporting staff development, and contributing to resident experience.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience.
• Experience coordinating maintenance with contractors.
• Knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance processes.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance teams and contractors to deliver high-quality maintenance services.
• Manage reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and statutory compliance activities.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with health and safety legislation, safe systems of work, permits, and risk assessments.
• Monitor service delivery performance and ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed service levels.
• Coordinate maintenance activities using CAFM systems and work closely with the help-desk function.
• Support team development through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Manage maintenance resources, materials, stock control, and subcontractor activities effectively.
• Identify recurring issues and implement practical improvements to enhance asset performance and service delivery.
• Support sustainability initiatives through efficient resource use and energy-conscious maintenance practices.
• Participate in emergency call-outs and escalation rotas when required.
