Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Facilities Manager in Oxford to lead day-to-day operations, ensuring health and safety, compliance and high service levels for occupiers. You will manage budgets, prepare reports and oversee on-site CBREMS staff and contractors to deliver excellence.

The role requires a degree, FM experience and strong IT literacy; IOSH and IWFM qualifications are desirable. Strong communication and people-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities management of property or portfolio.
• Knowledge of the technical aspect of premises management.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good awareness of Health and Safety legislation and environmental protection requirements.
• IT literate together with an understanding and experience of industry specific IT applications.
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a pressurised environment.
• IOSH qualification.
• IWFM qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day operational activities in line with health and safety, environmental and company procedures, legislative requirements, budgetary costs and client/tenant requirements in line with customer service criteria and KPIs.
• Prepare management reports in accordance with the business needs.
• Be responsible for all health and safety compliance, including audits, fire evacuations, emergency plans and site maps.
• Proactively manage risk and assist with procurement in line with policy.
• Compile and maintain site management information and records (asset register, emergency plans, plant testing).
• Liaise with local authorities and oversee on-site CBREMS employees, including performance reviews and SMART objectives.
