Berkeley Scott Recruitment are actively recruiting experienced Education Chefs for school kitchens in the Newcastle area, in partnership with Impact Food Group. This role offers term-time work with weekday hours and the potential for long-term or permanent placements.

You will prepare nutritious meals, plan menus, ensure hygiene, manage stock, and supervise kitchen assistants. DBS check required; UK right to work; weekly pay and flexible weekend opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as senior Chef, preferably in a school or similar environment.
• Enhanced DBS with child workforce or willing to obtain is essential.
• Right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available for these roles.
• Strong, reliable communication skills are essential.
• Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Allergens, with additional compliance training provided free of charge.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff.
• Planning menus in line with school guidelines and dietary requirements.
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Managing stock, ordering supplies, and minimising waste.
