Job summary

Berkeley Scott Recruitment are actively recruiting Education Chefs for the new school year starting in September, with Impact Food Group across schools in the Stockport area. These term-time roles offer weekday work, weekly pay and potential long-term placements in school kitchens.

We require minimum 6 months senior chef experience, strong communication skills, and Level 2 Food Safety; Enhanced DBS is essential. Sponsorship is not available for these roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as senior Chef, preferably in a school or similar environment.
• Right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available for these roles.
• Enhanced DBS with child workforce or willing to obtain is essential.
• Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Allergens, as well as additional compliance training, is essential and will be provided free of charge for all applicants.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff.
• Planning menus in line with school guidelines and dietary requirements.
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Managing stock, ordering supplies, and minimising waste.
• Supervising and supporting kitchen assistants during service.
• Adhering to all food safety and health & safety regulations.
