Job summary

Berkeley Scott Limited is seeking an experienced Chef to join its education catering team across Henley-on-Thames and surrounding towns. The role offers flexible hours with immediate starts and a competitive rate of £16.00 to £20.00+ per hour, depending on assignment and experience.

You will prepare nutritious meals for pupils and staff, manage a section, uphold hygiene standards and support kitchen operations in school settings.

Chef - Henley-on-Thames and Surrounding Areas School Catering | Flexible Work Available | Immediate Starts

Berkeley Scott seeks experienced Chef to join its education catering team across Henley-on-Thames and nearby towns including Reading, Maidenhead, Marlow and Wallingford. This temporary contract offers flexible hours, immediate starts and a competitive rate of £16.00 to £20.00+ per hour, depending on assignment and experience. Duties include preparing fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staff, managing a section, maintaining hygiene standards and supporting kitchen operations. Ideal applicants will have prior cooking experience, strong food safety knowledge, organisational skills and the ability to work well within a school setting. Essential Safeguarding Requirement

As these roles are based within schools and educational environments , safeguarding requirements apply. - You must hold a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate for the Child Workforce , preferably registered on the Update Service, or - Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Child Workforce check before starting work. Please note: Basic DBS, Standard DBS, and Adult Workforce DBS certificates are not suitable for these positions. All successful applicants must have a valid Enhanced DBS for the Child Workforce before working within a school.
