Job summary
Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is working with a specialist engineering company in Bedford to recruit an EDM Operative. You will programme, set and operate EDM machinery to produce high-precision components for aerodynamic research and testing.
The role offers day shifts (7am-3pm) with £38,000 - £40,000 salary, overtime and shift premiums, plus training, private health insurance and 26 days holiday (+ BH). Join a highly skilled team delivering components to tight tolerances and demanding
Qualifications
- Experience as an EDM Machinist/Operative.
- Proficient with Wire EDM and Sinker EDM.
- Time-served or fully skilled engineering background.
- Able to work to tight tolerances and project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Programming, setting and operating Wire and Sinker EDM machines.
- Producing high-precision components from engineering drawings.
- Working to tight tolerances, quality standards and deadlines.
- Support other machining disciplines when required.
