Pertemps Coventry Commercial is seeking a skilled EDM - Wire Operator for a full-time, permanent role based in Ansty, near Coventry. The successful applicant will program, set and run EDM/Wire machines to deliver precision components for aerospace and general engineering sectors.

Training will be provided for those with relevant experience. The role requires reading engineering drawings, using 2D CAD, and working to tight tolerances with high-quality finishes in a collaborative, small-team

Qualifications

• Experience in EDM/Wire EDM environment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Able to programme, set and operate EDM/wire machines.
• Proficient in working to tight tolerances and high finishes.
• Familiar with shop floor measurement equipment and health & safety.

Pertemps Coventry Commercial seeks a skilled EDM - Wire Operator for a full-time, permanent position based in Ansty, with a salary between £35,000 and £45,000. Joining a compact crew of specialist engineers, you will deliver bespoke wire erosion services for the aerospace and general engineering sectors. Your duties involve programming, setting, and running various machines, using 2D CAD and interpreting technical drawings to position components precisely. The role demands proficiency in holding tight tolerances and superior finishes. While experience is essential, further training will be provided. This position suits a dependable professional who thrives on precision work within a collaborative, close-knit setting.

EDM/WIRE EDM OPERATOR

THIS IS AN INTERESTING POSTION WORKING FOR A REPUTALBE COMPANY OFFERING A BESPOKE EDM/WIRE SERVICE WITHIN THE AEROSPACE/GENERAL ENGINEERING INDUSTRY. MUST HAVE EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE WITHIN AN EDM/WIRE EDM ENVIRONMENT AND RELIABLE WITH FULL COMPETENCE IN THIS SECTOR OF EDM/SPARK/WIRE EROSION. WE ARE A SMALL TEAM OF SKILLED ENGINEERS THAT WORK CLOSELY TOGETHER.

CORE SKILLS

• GOOD KNOWLEDGE SETTING PARTS USING CLOCK 2D CAD
• EXPERIENCE ALTHOUGH TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN
• ABILITY TO READ AND INTERPRET ENGINEERING DRAWINGS
• THEN TRANSLATING TO SETTING UP PARTS ON MACHINES IS A NECESSITY
• ABILITY TO PROGRAMME, SET AND OPERATE VARIOUS EDM/WIRE MACHINES
