Job summary
Staffline is recruiting for a leading precision R&D engineering company in Cheltenham for an EDM Machinist - Programmer Setter Operator to join our production team.
You will program, set and operate Wire EDM and Spark Erosion machines from engineering drawings and CAD data to produce aerospace components to tight tolerances.
The role is dayshift, permanent, with a competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum and overtime opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an EDM Machinist, Programmer, Setter and Operator.
Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate Wire EDM and Spark Erosion machines.
- Manufacture precision components to aerospace quality requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
- Select and prepare electrodes, tooling, fixtures and materials.
- Perform machine setup, process optimisation and first-off inspection.
- Monitor machining operations and adjust for quality and productivity.
- Maintain production and quality records.
- Work with Engineering, Quality and Production to meet delivery schedules.
