Job summary

MDPI is seeking a recently graduated professional for an entry-level Assistant Editor role based in our Manchester city centre office. This in-office position offers a pathway into a global open-access publisher, with training and mentorship from Managing Editors.

You will work on editorial processing, peer review coordination, and direct communication with authors and reviewers while developing your career in a dynamic multinational environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Medicine-related field is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English required.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support editorial process for academic journals in your domain of expertise.
• Organize peer review and coordinate editorial decisions.
• Handle email communications between parties in the publication process.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams to ensure timely publication.
• Ensure scholarly articles are edited and published with high consistency under deadlines.
