Job summary

Bolton Council is seeking a Senior Policy Officer (maternity cover) to support Equalities, Inclusion and Diversity (EDI) strategies and statutory duties across the organisation. The role requires engaging staff, residents and partners to advance equity and inclusion.

You will need excellent communication, strong analytical and report-writing skills, and the ability to coordinate a range of events and activities that support charter mark commitments.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Equality Act (2010).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Experience coordinating events and activities to support statutory objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support Equalities, Inclusion and Diversity (EDI) statutory duties across the organisation.
• Engage staff, residents, partners and wider stakeholders in the equity and inclusion agenda.
• Coordinate a range of events and activities that support EDI delivery and charter mark commitments.
• Prepare and present analytical reports to inform policy and performance.
