Job summary

Bolton Council is seeking a Principal Service Improvement Officer for a 12-month maternity cover within the Transformation Team. The role focuses on supporting organisational restructures and ensuring structured, consistent change across projects, with responsibility for co-ordinating activity, documentation, timescales and governance.

You will also support smaller service improvement projects across the Council, contributing to strategy transformation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Organised, proactive candidate with experience in service improvement or organisational restructures.
• Ability to coordinate competing priorities, work to deadlines and produce clear reports and briefings.
• Structured, practical approach to helping services achieve improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activity, documentation, timescales and governance to keep projects on track from scoping through consultation and implementation.
