Finance Business Partner
Eden Brown Synergy is delighted to collaborate with a public sector organisation who are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to deliver high-quality financial advice, strategic insight, and operational support across key service areas.
This is a hybrid, permanent role, offering the chance to contribute to complex and meaningful financial work in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a strategic partner, providing financial advice to senior stakeholders, directors, and service leads.
Lead on budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and closing the accounts.
Support the Head of Finance and Finance Managers in delivering professional, adaptable finance support.
Conduct financial analysis, business case development, and option appraisals.
Guide procurement processes and evaluate financial aspects of tenders.
Present complex financial information clearly to a range of audiences, including departmental and project boards.
Identify and support efficiencies, innovation, and improvements in financial support.
Essential Skills and Experience:
CCAB/CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or with significant equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of local government finance and experience in managing large budgets.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-finance stakeholders.
Proficiency in Excel and experience with integrated financial systems.
Skilled in financial planning, case management, and stakeholder engagement.
Experience advising senior leadership, supporting service change, and improving value for money outcomes.
Desirable:
Experience in developing business cases and assessing new initiatives or funding streams.
Familiarity with financial oversight in public procurement or capital projects.
