We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated individual with a passion for supporting those with mental illness and learning disabilities to join our pharmacy team within LYPFT. The successful applicant will have excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills, and can work effectively as part of a team and independently.
This role will work alongside and support the Mental Health (MH) pharmacists as part of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) working within Primary Care and Community mental health services. Applications are encouraged from any area in pharmacy, as there will be opportunities for the development of clinical skills as well as the opportunity to undertake further training.
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with clinical teams and Pharmacists to provide a high-quality medicines optimisation service. Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications (Essential): BTEC diploma in pharmaceutical science & NVQ level 3 diploma in pharmacy skills (or equivalent)
Knowledge (Essential): Good understanding of medicines management roles including medicines reconciliation, chart checking, PODs, and self-administration
Skills (Essential): Supporting safe and effective medicine use; excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience (Essential): Work experience in a pharmacy environment
