Job summary

W Talent partners with a rapidly growing organisation in the renewable energy sector. Exeter-based EC&I Technician role involves troubleshooting complex systems, planned and reactive maintenance, and collaboration across disciplines to keep plant equipment safe and efficient.

The role covers calibration, P&IDs, and supporting contractors, with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement in a modern industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Control & Instrumentation engineering within a process industry or similar industrial environment.
• Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience working with DCS and/or SCADA systems.
• Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• Manage calibration programmes and records.
• Work with instrument loop drawings, schematics and P&IDs.
• Conduct plant and safety inspections.
• Coordinate contractors on site and maintain CMMS records.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance reliability, safety and environmental performance.
