Job summary

Equans Embedded Energy at Fellside CHP plant near Sellafield seeks an EC&I Technician to join the maintenance team. You will perform maintenance on rotating and stationary equipment, troubleshoot EC&I issues and support day-to-day engineering activities.

Applicants should have an approved apprenticeship/NVQ3 in Electrical, Instrument or Control, with knowledge of EC&I theory and safety regulations. On-site role with on-call hours and site safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in Electrical, Instrument or Control, discipline.
• Knowledge of instrument and control theory.
• Basic knowledge of The Electricity at Work Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform programmed maintenance work, defect rectification, emergent and project work relating to rotating and stationary equipment.
• Provide EC&I technical support for day-to-day Engineering and Maintenance activities.
• Update work order records and reports through site CMMS.
• Carry out Risk Assessments and produce method statements that detail the safest method to carry out work.
• Supervise contractor personnel to ensure all work is technically correct and in accordance with site safety, environmental and quality procedures.
